“Yes, you have helped me so often, simply with your visits, with your love. And I know that God helps me.” Linda, prostitute in Mallorca

During the Reach Mallorca mission, we held church services on the beach – at Ballermann, in front of the Megapark. Behind the Megapark, a few hours later, prostitutes were waiting for customers. With Steffi, a partner of Lona in Mallorca, and other women, we engaged in conversations with the women. We met them on the street, prayed with them, and once we even sang together. Unlike the party tourists, among the prostitutes there wasn’t a single woman who didn’t follow Jesus. They hold on to God. Without faith, their situation is unbearable. Some want to exit. However, this is associated with so many hurdles. Only a few manage to overcome these.

Steffi accompanied us during the visits. She lives in Mallorca and wants to engage more strongly in prevention work in the future. She now wants to translate Lona Project’s prevention materials into Spanish. With this, she wants to raise awareness and educate young people about the issues of prostitution and human trafficking.
