Through prevention efforts, we educate, raise awareness, and support initiatives both here and abroad. People like you and me should be able to shape their own lives.
Modern slavery is widespread. An estimated 50 million people are affected by human trafficking worldwide. Even today, people around the world are recruited, deceived, exploited, and abused. This happens in Switzerland too, despite slavery having been officially abolished long ago.
But what exactly is human trafficking? And what can be done against it?
